UKPH offer a number of options with regards to Membership opportunities.
To show in RIHS/HOYS qualifiers you need to be either an Adult Member (if over 18). If you are under 18 you will need to become a Rider Member and a parent or guardian will have to become an Adult Member. You must also register your horse.
The form for membership is available in DOWNLOADS, please post it or email it to info@ukponies.uk. Payment must be done via the SHOP, no telephone payments are accepted.
Your membership is not valid until:
1. Payment has been received via the SHOP
2. The Form has been received by the office
3. The Board of Directors have approved and accepted your membership.
Membership is confirmed when you receive an email confirming your membership number. Any qualification will be null and void if gained without fully abiding by the Membership rules.
NOTE: Express Membership: whereby anyone applies for membership within 24 hours of a show will incur a £40 admin fee which will need to be paid prior to Membership being completed. Please select the Express option within the Annual Adult Membership section in the shop.
Types of Membership
Annual Adult Membership
Annual Adult Membership is required to compete in the RIHS M&M Young Rider & Amateur Finale. You must be over 18 to be an adult member. This membership allows you to register a horse or pony with us.
Additionally if you are a UKPH panel judge and become an adult member, your judges application fee is included in the Adult Membership.
Membership runs from the 1st January to the 31st December annually.
Horse or Pony Registration
Adult Membership is required to register a Horse or Pony with UKPH. Registration is required to compete in the RIHS M&M Young Rider & Amateur qualifying classes.
All animals MUST have a passport in order to be registered with UK Ponies & Horses. A copy of the Passport must be lodged at the time of registration with UKPH. Plaited ponies entering any HOYS qualifier must be in possession of a current JMB height certificate.
Registration is subject to the membership of the owner remaining valid throughout the current season. Registration runs from the 1st January to 31st December yearly.
Rider Membership
This membership is most common for our junior riders who are not old enough to be Adult Members. Rider Memberships allows you to compete in RIHS Young Rider and Amateur Classes but not register any horse of ponies with the society.
If you are a junior you will require someone over 18 to become an adult member to register your horse.
Membership runs from the 1st January to the 31st December annually.
When is your Membership Valid?
This is Important!!
In order to become a member, the office MUST have received both the form (found in DOWNLOADS) and the payment (please pay via the SHOP). Your membership must also be approved by the Board of UKPH Ltd
If you send one without the other your membership will not be complete or considered and any qualification gained during this time will be null and void.
It is your responsibility to ensure you have filled in the correct paperwork and payment has been received.
Applications within 24 hours of the show incur a £40 express checkout fee.
